According to this Advertising Age article, the time has finally come where we will see truly integrated ad campaigns during the 2011 Super Bowl, versus just entertaining and memorable brand spots.
More ads than ever before should feature a social media component to allow viewers to more deeply engage with and follow the brand. Some ads will even contain hash tags!
I hope someone will publish an official count of just how many ads incorporate some type of digital component, whether it’s a site URL, Facebook or YouTube address, Twitter address and/or hash tag, a blog site or other executions.
It should be interesting to watch. I hope the game is as well!
